We specialize in commercial real estate services such as buyer and tenant representative brokerage, asset management, and project management. Bob Qualkinbush
PRICIPAL/MANAGING BROKERBob was born and raised on the Northshore of Illinois in the City of Evanston. Bob maintained his Chicagoland roots through college while attending DePaul University. Bob has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience in valuation, acquisition and disposition, investment underwriting, management, and construction. Prior to forming Urban Associates Bob worked as a commercial real estate appraiser appraising commercial real estate all over the US. Following his appraisal experience he began to work in commercial real estate development. Bob managed the development of $25mm worth of Chesterbrook Academy’s in the Cook County collar counties, $10mm in bank anchored strip centers in the western suburbs, $10mm in Sav-A-Lot grocery stores on the south and west sides of Chicago, a free standing PrivateBank (now CIBC) branch in Lincolnwood, IL, and many others. In 2009 Bob formed Urban Associates, LLC to help buyers and tenants to maximize real estate decisions.
Bob has a Bachelor’s degree from DePaul University. Bob has a post-baccalaureate certificate in Finance from Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies and a Master in Business Administration from University of Notre Dame. Bob is a member of the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors (NICAR), Suburban BOMA and the Urban Land Institute. Bob lives in Andersonville with his wife, and three children, and their pet dog.

Steve Qualkinbush
SENIOR ADVISOR
Steve was born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana. Steve maintained his Indiana roots through college while attending Purdue University. Steve began his career in real estate as a planner in Broward County, Florida. Steve has more than 30 years’ experience adding value to properties for clients and for his own account. He has initiated and managed development projects totaling more than $500,000,000. The projects range from capital costs exceeding $100,000,000 to less than $1,000,000. But no matter how many commas the budget holds, every project follows a tried and true essential process allowing for innovation and new ideas. Steve believes the value of a project is created very early in the process. He worked in government, consulted with cities and towns, was employed for nine years with Homart Development Co., a large development company, and for himself since 1993.
Steve graduated from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School with a Masters in Management, has a Masters in Landscape Architecture from University of Illinois and a Bachelors from Purdue University. Steve lives in Evanston with his wife and their dog.
